Post-Primary Disputes: NDC Sets Up Seven-Member Reconciliation Committee

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has set up a seven-member National Reconciliation Committee to resolve disputes stemming from the party’s recently concluded primaries across the country.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the party’s National Chairman, Sen. Moses Cleopas, and National Secretary, Mr. Ikenna Enekweizu, said the committee would engage aggrieved aspirants nationwide to address lingering concerns and promote unity within the party.

The statement named political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, as chairman of the committee, with Buba Galadima serving as co-chairman.

Other members include Mohammed Takori (Vice Chairman), Mr. Babatunde Alli (Secretary), Mrs. Dudu Manuga, Salvador Moshood and Alhaji Haruna Pai.

The NDC also announced the creation of three sub-committees to coordinate reconciliation efforts in the North, South-South and South-East geopolitical zones.

According to the party, the committee will be formally inaugurated at its national secretariat in Abuja at noon on Thursday, August 6. (NAN)
