An African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain in Borno State, Alhaji Atom Magira, has announced that he secured a legal victory against the Borno State Government after a High Court in Maiduguri ruled in his favour.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Magira described the judgment as a significant milestone, saying it marked his second major court victory following an earlier successful case against the Borno State Police Command.
“Today, the High Court of Justice in Maiduguri, Borno State, delivered judgment in my favour, and by the grace of Allah, I emerged victorious against the Borno State Government,” he said.
Magira expressed gratitude to Allah for the outcome of the case, describing the judgment as a testament to divine justice.
He also thanked his supporters, friends and well-wishers for their prayers, encouragement and steadfast support throughout the legal proceedings.
“My heartfelt appreciation goes to everyone who stood by me with sincere prayers, encouragement and unwavering support throughout these legal battles. Your kindness and faith meant a great deal to me,” he added.
The details of the judgment and the subject of the legal dispute were not immediately disclosed.
