NEWS FLASH: Boko Haram Terrorists Slaughter 11 Farmers in Borno State

Suspected armed members of the insurgent group Boko Haram have reportedly killed 11 farmers in two separate attacks in Borno State, raising fresh concerns over worsening insecurity in Nigeria’s northeast.
According to local vigilante sources, seven farmers were abducted during a violent raid on Kuwawu village in Borno State on Saturday. The attackers were said to have subjected the victims to brutal treatment before killing them.
In a separate incident within the same period, four other farmers were also killed in an attack around the Lake Chad axis, an area long affected by insurgent activity.
Community vigilantes who spoke With The News Chronicle on condition of anonymity said both attacks are believed to have been carried out by the same group of insurgents operating across farming communities in the region.
Residents have expressed renewed fear following the incidents, calling on authorities to increase military deployment and improve security around rural farmlands.
Security agencies have yet to issue an official statement on the attacks as of the time of filing this report.
