Nigerian actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka James, widely known as Baba Ijesha, has announced the birth of a baby boy with fashion entrepreneur Abiodun Tokunbo, also known as CEO Luminee, seven months after his release from prison.
The couple shared maternity photographs and messages on social media on Monday, 15 June 2026, introducing their son as King Kagar Omiyinka.
Baba Ijesha wrote: “In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy.”
He also described CEO Luminee as “my ever beautiful wife” and thanked God for giving him “more than I prayed for.”
In her own post, CEO Luminee called the baby “our little miracle” and described Baba Ijesha as “a pure-hearted man” and “one in a million.” She said they had kept their relationship away from public attention.
The announcement quickly drew mixed reactions online, with many comments focusing on Baba Ijesha’s conviction and the timing of the birth.
Actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday wrote: “I suppose type congratulations Abi? But then, as how, Congratulations.”
Another Instagram user, @mummy_kaira_na_kaito, questioned the timeline, writing: “She no born this month o. So they should come and explain.”
Several users also speculated about whether the pregnancy began before or after Baba Ijesha left prison. Neither Baba Ijesha nor CEO Luminee has publicly addressed those questions, and there is no verified evidence to support claims circulating online.
Others focused on Baba Ijesha’s criminal record.
X user @_tobyblush wrote: “The same Baba Ijesha we all watched a video of sexualizing and sucking on a minor’s finger is who you chose to open your legs for.”
Another user, @Vyxalo, said: “Making a baby with a convicted pedophile is just….that should be a crime against that child.”
Some commenters took a different view. X user @NoMaliceHQ wrote: “Man served his time, paid his debt to society, and y’all still want him canceled forever?”
Baba Ijesha was arrested in April 2021 after actress and comedian Damilola Adekoya, known as Princess, accused him of sexually assaulting her 14-year-old foster daughter.
A Lagos court convicted him in July 2022 on several counts relating to child sexual assault while acquitting him on others. Although the judgment included prison terms totaling 16 years, the sentences ran concurrently. He completed about five years in custody and regained his freedom in November 2025.
The birth announcement is the first public confirmation of Baba Ijesha’s relationship with CEO Luminee. Previously, she was publicly known as a celebrity fashion designer and single mother.
The couple’s announcement has reopened questions about rehabilitation, accountability, and whether public figures convicted of serious offenses should return to public life.
