Tinubu Lands in Kigali, Set to Champion Nigeria’s Reform Agenda at Africa CEO Forum

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum, which begins on Thursday.

The President was received at the Presidential Wing of the Kigali International Airport by Rwanda’s Minister of Defense, Juvenal Marizamunda, alongside Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu.

Other top officials on hand to welcome him included the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole; Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed; Nigeria’s Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna; and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare.

Founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Africa CEO Forum has grown into the continent’s largest annual gathering of private sector leaders, investors, and policymakers. The platform is focused on accelerating economic transformation through expanded scale, regional integration, and cross-border investment.

This year’s theme, “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership,” will shape discussions on how African economies can unlock stronger collaboration and sustainable growth.

President Tinubu is expected to deliver a keynote address titled “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will highlight the gains and challenges of Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms.

He is also scheduled to hold a series of high-level bilateral meetings with global and African business leaders, as part of efforts to deepen investment ties and reinforce Nigeria’s role in shaping Africa’s economic future.

The President is expected to use the platform to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, stronger regional economic cooperation, and expanded private-sector-led development across the continent.
