Suspected Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday morning attacked Mbalala community in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, killing several people and abducting others during a wedding ceremony.
Sources said the attackers stormed the gathering, opening fire on guests and causing panic as many fled for safety. The exact number of casualties and abducted victims is yet to be confirmed.
Security operatives are said to have been alerted, while efforts are ongoing to track the assailants and rescue those taken.
