President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Oba Elegushi of Ikate-Elegushi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), on the occasion of his 50th birthday, praising his leadership, vision, and commitment to community development.
Tinubu joined the Elegushi royal family, the Lagos State Traditional Council, and the kingdom’s indigenes in celebrating the monarch, describing his reign as one marked by impactful service and progressive leadership.
The President noted that since ascending the throne 16 years ago, Oba Elegushi has driven notable interventions in education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, helping to uplift his people through targeted development initiatives.
He also commended the monarch’s embrace of innovation in governance, particularly his adoption of technology and modern best practices in advancing agriculture, skills acquisition, and local development.
Recalling their years working together in Lagos State, Tinubu said he was not surprised by the monarch’s achievements, describing him as a leader who has consistently demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a strong connection to the people.
He prayed for continued wisdom, good health, and long life for the monarch, expressing confidence in his continued service to Lagos State and Nigeria.
