The relationship between Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B and NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs seems to have reached its end after a series of public developments that suggest a separation, despite her recent defense of him during an online dispute with rapper Bia.
Speculation about a split began during Super Bowl weekend earlier this month when the two unfollowed each other on social media. A planned post-game celebration was subsequently canceled. According to reports, Cardi B had arranged extensive travel and hospitality plans tied to the event.
An unnamed source quoted by The U.S. Sun said, “She is very, very upset with him,” adding that she currently considers herself a “single mother.” The source further stated that Diggs has attempted to reconcile by sending luxury gifts, including Chanel items and a Rolex watch reportedly valued at $26,000. “He has been trying to do everything to talk to her and see her, but she refuses to see or even speak to him since Super Bowl weekend,” the source said.
The couple welcomed a child in November 2025. Reports indicate that Diggs continues to have access to see the child, but without Cardi B present. “She doesn’t want to interact with him at all,” the source said, adding that he is “not allowed to attend her shows for now because she doesn’t want any drama or potential issues.”
Notably, Stefon Diggs’ still has an ongoing legal case. Last week, he pleaded not guilty to felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery charges. The case remains pending.
Despite reports of a rift, Cardi B publicly defended Diggs during an exchange on X with rapper Bia. After Bia wrote, “Can u name someone with more bms than receiving yards? I can! and I know that… ykwnvm,” Cardi B responded that her personal situation did not permit others to disrespect him.
Her remarks drew criticism from some fans. One user wrote, “Yeah, she’s getting back with him, that’s why shes defending him.” Another commented, “I wouldn’t be going so hard for a guy who publicly embarrasses me multiple times.”
Former NFL MVP Cam Newton also addressed the speculation on his “4th&1” podcast, asking, “Is this their first breakup?” He added that early separations can test how much couples value one another.
On February 15, 2026, during a performance in Palm Desert, California, as part of her “Little Miss Drama” tour, Cardi B appeared to reference the end of the relationship.
