A 55-year-old woman, Sekinat Agoro, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan over claims that she unlawfully encroached on another person’s property.
Agoro, whose residential address was not disclosed, is facing charges bordering on conspiracy, illegal entry and actions said to be capable of disturbing public peace. She entered a plea of not guilty.
According to the prosecution, Insp. Toyin Ibrahim, the alleged incident occurred in November 2025 at Bodunde area along Ido Road in Ibadan.
Ibrahim told the court that Agoro, together with unidentified accomplices, allegedly stormed the land belonging to one Mrs. Olajumoke Wahab, represented in court by Ibrahim Agbalaya.
He added that Agoro allegedly accessed the property without Wahab’s approval and reportedly obstructed Agbalaya, the complainant’s brother, from accessing the land.
The prosecutor noted that the offences violate Sections 516, 81 and 249(d) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
Magistrate Olaolu Olanipekun granted Agoro bail in the sum of N200,000 with one credible surety in the same amount. The matter was adjourned to February 17, 2026, for continuation of hearing.
