Nwanegbo Assumes Office as Anambra’s New NIS Comptroller

A new Comptroller, CIS Umerah Timothy Nwanegbo has assumed office as the 21st substantive Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Anambra state.
Nwanegbo, who assumed duty with immediate effect, was until his posting to Anambra, Comptroller ICT/Cyber Security at the Service headquarters, Abuja.
A native of Oguta in Imo State, Nwanegbo is a peace lover who enjoys teamwork and encourages all to take their jobs very seriously.
Ag CIS Patrick Oyedoh had earlier handed over the command and its administration to the new Comptroller after the ceremony at the quarter guard.
Speaking shortly after the handover ceremony, Oyedoh congratulated the new Comptroller on his appointment and expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver.
He said, “I’m glad I did my bit while I could, going by experience; I know the new Comptroller will add a lot of value, coming directly from the Service headquarters.
“NIS Anambra Command will take a new shape, especially in the area of efficient service delivery.
“The Command is peaceful and there is a great synergy between the Command and the State Government. I wish him a successful tenure in Anambra as he assumes office today.
Addressing his maiden management meeting, Nwanegbo described his posting to Anambra as God breathed, just as he sought better collaboration from the Command’s management team.
He pledged to improve on the achievements of his predecessor and to build on the good name the Command had already gained as an organisation.
