Former Governor of Osun state and the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola has vowed that the Tinubu-led government will fail in any attempt to manipulate the next general elections, asserting that he knows their strategies.
Speaking on Tuesday at the ADC unveiling in Osogbo, Aregbesola pitched the ADC as a credible alternative to Nigeria’s crises, including insecurity, corruption, poverty, and poor governance.
“God has shattered the present government, even the federal one. They cannot rig the election—we know their tactics,” he said. “Go and take care of elderly women, clothe them well, and have them sit in tens at polling units on election day. Leave the rest to us.”
The former minister of Interior condemned the current administration’s record, “They have failed in every area economy, security, governance. By August, we will meet in Abere, and after that, we will take over the presidency.”
He added that ADC’s legacy in Osun continues to resonate, “Our achievements speak for us. That’s why we receive such warm receptions wherever we go, especially in Osogbo.”
