Strange Voices Always Ask Him To Do Strange Things -Family Says As Man Hangs Self To Death

A cloud of grief has descended on Umuogodo Akpu community in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State following the death of a 24-year-old man, Joshua Kosoro, who reportedly ended his life on Sunday, November 16.
The Police Command in the state confirmed the tragic development through its spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, in Abakaliki on Thursday.
According to Ukandu, Kosoro, who had been living in Lagos, travelled home to Ebonyi and confided in his family that he had been battling disturbing experiences.
“On Sunday, one Joshua Kosoro from Umuogodo Akpu community, Ohaukwu LGA, who was based in Lagos came to Ebonyi and told his relatives that he was hearing strange voices.
“He said that the voices talk to him and always ask him to do strange things.”
Moved by concern, his family members reportedly went out in search of help. Ukandu explained that tragedy struck while they were away.
“The relatives went out to look for solution to the issue; as everyone was away from the house he stayed back; before they could comeback, they saw that he has hanged himself to death.
“The officers of the command visited the scene and the body was taken to the hospital, where he was certified dead.”
He added that the matter was officially reported by the deceased’s relatives, and that the police have already begun probing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
