BREAKING: Tinubu Lifts Emergency Rule in Rivers, Orders Fubara Back

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the president directed Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who had been suspended, to return to office on Thursday, September 18.

He also instructed Deputy Governor Ngozi Nma Odu and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to resume their official duties.

The emergency rule in the state had been in place for the past six months.
