—

The management team of the TY Danjuma Foundation, led by its chairperson Gloria Danjuma, recently visited Borno State to express their heartfelt sympathy to the government and the people of the state following the devastating floods that have wreaked havoc across the region.

The floods, which have displaced tens of thousands of residents and affected over a million people, have left a trail of destruction, prompting urgent calls for support and relief efforts.

During the visit, the TY Danjuma Foundation made a significant donation of 1 billion naira to assist those impacted by the flood disaster.

This generous contribution is intended to provide relief materials, aid in the rehabilitation of affected communities, and help the displaced families rebuild their lives.

In response to the foundation’s support, Governor Babagana Zulum expressed his profound gratitude to the TY Danjuma Foundation and its founder, General TY Danjuma, for their ongoing commitment to the recovery and restoration of Borno State.

The governor praised the foundation’s consistent efforts in providing assistance to the state, particularly in times of crisis, and noted that this latest gesture would go a long way in alleviating the suffering of the flood victims.

Governor Zulum highlighted the importance of partnerships with private organizations and philanthropic foundations, such as the TY Danjuma Foundation, in complementing the government’s efforts to address the challenges faced by the people of Borno.

He also reaffirmed the government’s dedication to ensuring that the donated funds are used efficiently for the benefit of the affected communities.

The TY Danjuma Foundation has been at the forefront of philanthropic initiatives across Nigeria, supporting various causes, including education, healthcare, and humanitarian relief.

This latest act of generosity further cements its reputation as a leading organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable populations.

The visit and donation by the foundation are seen as a beacon of hope for the many families affected by the floods, as efforts to provide relief and recovery continue in the region.
