2025: Anambra PDP to Commence LGA Tours, Membership Registration and Stakeholders’ Summit

The People’s Democratic Party in Anambra State has revealed plans to conduct a visitation tour of the 21 Local Government Areas, LGAs of the state, ahead of the 2025 Governorship Election in the state.

The party has also resolved to meet with various leaders and stakeholders in a summit to chart a progressive way forward for the party in the state.

The PDP Publicity Secretary in the state, Promise Okongwu, who revealed this to newsmen after a brainstorming session of the State PDP Executive Committee, presided over by the State Chairman, Engr Chigozie Igwe at the party’s secretariat in Awka, said the party also resolved to conduct a statewide membership registration in all the 365 wards in Anambra State.

“These events are slated to be held starting from the end of July 2024,” Okongwu revealed.

He continued; “The meeting which highlighted and praised the continued dedication of our members, especially towards their continued support and the propagation of the democratic ideals within and outside the party in the state.

“It equally witnessed a vote of confidence passed on the Engr. Chigozie Igwe and his led state Executives for its stringent moves towards improving and repositioning the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.

“The party further urges our teaming members, supporters, and stakeholders to remain united and resolute with the visions of the PDP in the state as currently constituted, whilst admonishing members of the teeming public to disregard rumor mongers from opposition political parties, who are only hell-bent on propagating falsehood against the PDP in Anambra State.”
