Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has responded to a court ruling that fined him N5 million for allegedly having an affair with a married woman.
In February 2021, a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt ordered Daddy Freeze to pay N5 million for committing adultery with Benedicta Elechi. The fine was to be paid to Paul Odekina, who was married to Elechi at the time.
Unhappy with the decision, Daddy Freeze took the case to the Appeal Court.

On his Instagram live show, Daddy Freeze denied the cheating allegation. He said, “I will pay the adultery fine; my wristwatch alone costs over N100 million, but I am innocent. This happened many years ago when both the lady and I were going through serious torment. We met many years later in church; this happened over 12 years ago.”
