Yobe State Govt, signs $2bn deal to export beef with Trans Sahara Consortium

—

The Yobe State government has made a plan to help raise more animals like cows, goats, and sheep, so there’s enough food for everyone. They joined hands with a group called Trans Sahara to make this happen.

They agreed to work together for five years and put two billion dollars into the project. Their main goal is to sell more beef soon.

Yobe State has lots of animals, especially cows. There’s a big market for cows in Potiskum town, one of the biggest in Africa.

To make the cow business even better, the state government decided to team up with Trans Sahara.

They want to use the two billion dollars to make things better for raising cows and selling beef.

The head of Trans Sahara, Victor Terrah, explained more about what they’ll do together. He’s excited about the partnership.

The government’s representative, Baba Malam Wali, spoke for Governor Buni. He thinks this plan will help make more cows and bring more money to the state. He believes it will also help the state grow and make sure everyone has enough to eat.

The project wants to make thirty thousand cows every month from places like Potiskum, Nguru, and Damaturu.
