China’s government is making plans to protect important information in factories and industries until 2026.Â
This comes as China and the United States accuse each other of computer attacks and spying.
The Chinese government wants to use more products made in China instead of those from the West to prevent hacking.
They are worried about problems like ransomware attacks, secret ways to access information, and illegal activities.
They will make companies in the industrial sector do practice drills to handle computer attacks. More than 45,000 companies need to do this by 2026.
They also want to teach 30,000 sessions about keeping data safe and train 5,000 experts by the same year.
In the last three years, China made rules to control how companies use and move user information because of security worries.
One company, Didi, was fined $1.2 billion in July 2022 for not protecting data.
The government is also concerned about using foreign software to gather important information, especially in the military. In December, they suggested a system to handle different levels of problems with data security.
