Everton Football Club who were sanctioned with 10 points deduction after breaching the English FA rules have been forgiven with points sanctions reduced to 6.
The relaxed and reduced points deduction have now risen Everton from 17th to 15th on the Premier League log.
Recall that around November last year, the club was punished via points deduction for breaching Premier League financial rules.
The club was slammed 10 points reduction in November for breaching profit and sustainability rules (PSRs) in the three years to 2021-22.
The punishment, which is the biggest in Premier League history—took Everton from 14th to 19th in the table after the pronouncement by the English FA.
“Everton FC appealed the sanction imposed against it on nine grounds, each of which related to the sanction rather than the fact of the breach, which the club admitted,” read a Premier League statement.
“Two of those nine grounds were upheld by the appeal board, which has substituted the original points deduction of 10 for six.”
