According to reports, the much anticipated friendly between the Super Eagles and world champions Argentina will be played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, United States of America, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
Recall that the friendly was earlier scheduled to be held in China but was cancelled as a result discord between Argentina captain Lionel Messi and Chinese authorities.
The friendly marks Super Eagles’ first outing since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire. After defeating La Albiceleste twice, the Nigerian Super Eagles and Argentina have met eight times in the past, with the latter recording six wins.
Ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers coming up in June against South Africa and Benin Republic, the West Africans will use the game to prepare for it.
