NDLEA to establish offices across the nation to address growing issue of drug abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has said they want to open more offices in all the 774 places where local governments are found.

They want to do this to fight against drug problems better in Nigeria. They say they want to do this because drug problems are becoming worse, especially among young people.

At an event where books about drug problems were presented, the head of NDLEA, Brigadier-General Muhammed Buba Marwa (RTD), wasn’t there.

But someone representing him, Dr. Malami Sokoto, said it’s important to fight drug problems in many ways, not just one.

He said everyone needs to work together to make sure young people don’t have drug problems.

Dr. Malami Sokoto also said that if someone has a drug problem, it’s not the end. They can get help and get better.

Another person at the event, Engineer Lanre Sagaya, said drug problems are getting worse, especially among young people.

He asked parents to watch their children closely to make sure they don’t start using drugs.

Comrade Issa Aremu, who was the main speaker at the event, said the books being presented will help young people understand why it’s important to stay away from drugs.

At the beginning of the event, Alhaji Muhammed Tunde Akanbi said it’s important to teach students about the dangers of drugs. He said this is important to stop young people from using drugs.
