FG Boosts NIN Enrollment with Additional Computer Systems

In a bid to expedite the National Identification Number (NIN) enrollment process, the federal government, facilitated by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), has announced the distribution of additional computer systems across all states.
Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC, stated on Wednesday that the NIMC DG/CEO Abisoye Odusote-Coker has approved the deployment of extra enrollment systems as part of a nationwide initiative to address challenges and enhance operational capacity.
Emphasizing a commitment to efficiency, Odusote-Coker warned against extortion of applicants, asserting that any staff engaging in such practices will face consequences in accordance with constitutional and Public Service Rules.
Adegoke highlighted the positive impact of the new systems, reducing wait times for applicants and increasing the daily number of individuals attended to.
The distribution aligns with the DG/CEO’s strategy to streamline operations and improve overall effectiveness.
To ensure compliance and maintain integrity, Engr Abisoye Coker-Odusote has dispatched monitoring and evaluation teams to centers nationwide, with a specific focus on eradicating extortion and unethical practices during enrollment and modification exercises.
