The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, recently conducted the swearing-in ceremony for key officials in his administration.
Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade has officially assumed the role of Secretary to the Kogi State Government, while Honourable Ali Bello has taken on the position of Chief of Staff to the Governor. Additionally, commissioners and other senior aides were sworn in during this event.
Ismaila Isah, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, reported that Governor Ododo personally administered the oath of office to the Secretary to the State Government and the Chief of Staff, while the State Solicitor General, Justice Falilat Yusuf, handled the commissioners and senior aides.
During his address, Governor Ododo urged the newly appointed officials to uphold fairness in their duties and provide their utmost dedication to the administration.
He emphasized that these individuals were selected based on their impressive track records, and thus, they are expected to represent the people of the state with integrity.
Governor Ododo reminded the appointees of the responsibility they bear, considering the large population of over 4 million Kogites.
He emphasized the need for them to work without discrimination and to be dedicated and committed in serving the diverse interests of the state.
Expressing the state’s expectations, the Governor stressed the importance of improved performance from the new administration.
He highlighted the implementation of a performance evaluation system to track the government’s impact on the lives of the people throughout its tenure.
Governor Ododo acknowledged the support received from the people and pledged to lead by example, fostering a culture of service, probity, transparency, and accountability.
He called on the appointees to collaborate effectively as a team to fulfill the mandate entrusted to them by the people for consolidation and continuity under the new administration.
In her response on behalf of the appointees, Secretary to the Government of the State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo for the confidence placed in them.
She assured the Governor and the people of Kogi State that they would not disappoint, committing to fulfilling their duties with dedication and excellence.
