Sen. Ahmed Lawan empowers 6,766 constituents with farm machinery in Yobe

Senator Ahmed Lawan, representing the Yobe North Senatorial District, has extended assistance to a total of 6,766 individuals within his community. 

This support comes in the form of valuable farming equipment and other essential tools, fostering the initiation of their entrepreneurial endeavors and contributing to the local economic development.

The equipment includes 36 tractors, 13 rice mills, 10 rice planters, 302 harvesters, and 2000 sprayers. Additionally, 60 cars, 250 motorcycles, 2,226 water pumps, 1,497 grinding machines, and 1,800 pots and stoves were distributed.

During the distribution event in Gashua, Senator Lawan emphasized the importance of empowerment in creating jobs and encouraging self-sufficiency.

He pledged to consistently bring federal projects and programs to benefit the people in his constituency and the entire state.

Senator Lawan, who previously served as the President of the ninth Senate, praised Governor Mai Mala Buni for his support and effective leadership in the state.

He expressed gratitude to his constituents for their trust, understanding, resilience, and cooperation even during challenging times.

Governor Buni expressed recognition and acknowledgment of the fact that Senator Lawan’s empowerment initiative is in accordance with the policies and programs established by the state.

The Governor acknowledged and affirmed that the efforts and activities undertaken by Senator Lawan in the realm of empowerment are consistent and in harmony with the overarching goals and strategies that the state has implemented.

This acknowledgment signifies a mutual understanding and appreciation for the alignment between Senator Lawan’s initiative and the broader framework of policies and programs set forth by the state government under Governor Buni’s leadership.

However, he advised the recipients to use the equipment wisely and avoid selling them, emphasizing the need to use the tools to earn a living.

Lawan Bulama, the recipient of the benevolent act, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Senator Lawan for the exceedingly generous gesture extended towards him.

In conveying his appreciation, Mr. Bulama articulated that he anticipates the substantial positive influence this benevolence is poised to exert on the enhancement of his overall living conditions, underscoring the profound impact it is likely to have on various facets of his daily life.
