One Muhammad Dahiru, 33 has been arrested by operatives of the Hisbah State Commission. Mohammed was arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in Birnin-Kebbi.
The suspect who hails from Koko/Besse Local Government Area of the state was arrested on Monday, December 11, 2023.
In a statement posted on its social media page, the Hisbah State Commission in Kebbi state revealed that the suspect lured the victim into a bush where he defiled her.
The statement disclosed that Dahiru pleaded guilty to the crime and has since been handed over to the Nigerian police in Kebbi state for further investigation and other legal actions.
