In The Next Election We Will Have Rivers State For APC – Ganduje

—

Amidst fears of an evolving one-party state by most Nigerians, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has revealed that, with the inauguration of the new state working committee in Rivers State, the APC is poised to wrest power from the PDP in the state come 2027.

While speaking during the inauguration of the state caretaker committee at the APC national secretariat on Friday, the former Kano State Governor decried that since 2015, the APC has faced numerous setbacks due to internal crises and litigations that have affected its chances of victory.

“We have decided to reform the party. This won’t be possible without leadership in the states. We want you to make history for our party so that during the next election, we will have Rivers State for the APC. You contributed to electing the current government (president). I can confidently say that we are proud of you.”

Earlier, the National Working Committee, led by Tony Okocha, had on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, dissolved the Rivers State executives of the party at all levels and constituted a 7-member caretaker committee comprising party members loyal to the former Governor of the state and current Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike.
