The initiative was inaugurated by the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

The 3MTT program, a key component of the Renewed Hope agenda, seeks to position Nigeria as a net talent exporter by nurturing and enhancing the nation’s technical capabilities.

The first phase of this program, carried out in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), is set to involve multiple stakeholders, including fellows, training providers, partners, and placement organizations.

In a bid to achieve its objectives, the government will select individuals with a keen interest in specific technical skills and finance the cost of their training, partnering with accredited training providers.

Notably, the first phase aims to train and place an impressive 30,000 technical talents, marking a remarkable 1% of the program’s ambitious overall target.

Dr. Bosun Tijani elaborated on the framework guiding the first phase, explaining, “In line with the Ministry’s 1%-10%-100% implementation approach, this first phase will aim to train and place 30,000 technical talents, representing 1% of our overall target. It will be executed based on the framework co-created with key stakeholders across government agencies, training providers, educational institutions, development agencies, and the private sector.”

Participants in the initial phase of the program can anticipate gaining expertise in a range of tech-related skills, including Digital Marketing, Project Management Software, Cloud Platforms Navigation, Data Analysis and Visualization, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), CRM Management, Accounting Software, Graphics Design, UX/UI Design, among other valuable competencies.

This groundbreaking opportunity is open to all Nigerians interested in advancing their technical skills and contributing to the nation’s growing digital landscape.

The application process has been officially launched, marking a promising step forward in building Nigeria’s technical talent base and fostering a dynamic digital economy.
