The Supreme Court of Nigeria will swear in 58 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) on Monday, November 27, 2023.
The new SANs include Funmi Falana, the wife of popular human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), Kayode Ajulo, Yakubu Philemon and many other senior lawyers.
The Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hajo Bello, confirmed in a statement on that the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC), under the Chairmanship of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, approved the elevation of the 58 lawyers.
Bello also confirmed that the Committee considered four petitions written against some of the applicants and dismissed them for lacking merit.
