Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has lauded his boys for being triumphant over São Tomé during their final round of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.Â
The Super Eagles defeated São Tomé to lead group A with 15 points following 5 victories in six encounters.
Victor Osimhen’s hat trick powered Nigeria to the emphatic victory in the Nest of Champions, Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
On his Facebook, he wrote;
“Proud of our team’s commitment in yesterday’s win! Even though we had already secured our qualification, there was no letting up; we fought from the first to the last minute.
With the strongest attack of the AFCON qualification phase and five wins, best scorer and player with most assists. we’re setting new benchmarks.
