Nigerian music star, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his estranged wife, Annie Idibia, have triggered fresh reconciliation rumours after reportedly following each other again on Instagram.
Checks on Monday showed that the former couple, who had previously unfollowed each other following their highly publicised separation, have renewed their social media connection.
The development has immediately set tongues wagging, with fans speculating that the move could signal a possible thawing of relations between the estranged couple.
Annie reportedly followed 2Baba on Instagram, while the singer reciprocated by following her back, in what many fans have interpreted as a significant development given the history between them.
The renewed social media connection comes more than a year after 2Baba publicly announced his separation from Annie in January 2025, stating that they had been separated for some time and were filing for divorce.
The latest development also comes weeks after Annie dismissed rumours that she had reunited with the singer, describing viral videos fuelling the speculation as old footage being misrepresented.
However, neither 2Baba nor Annie has publicly confirmed that they are reconciling or taking steps to revive their marriage.
The mutual follow has nonetheless reignited public interest in the former couple’s relationship, with social media users closely watching their next moves.
The development has also attracted attention amid reports surrounding 2Baba’s relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru. TheCable Lifestyle reported on Monday that 2Baba and Osawaru had also ceased following each other on Instagram.
For now, the Instagram development remains the strongest indication of a possible change in the relationship between 2Baba and Annie, but any claim of an actual reconciliation remains unconfirmed.
