Former Edo State Governor and elder statesman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has purchased the Presidential Nomination Form of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on behalf of former Rivers State Governor and ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
Oyegun arrived at the ADC headquarters with a delegation that included a former Minister of Environment and other political stakeholders, The News Chronicle reports.
The move has been widely interpreted as an early indication of coordinated backing for Amaechi’s presidential bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Amaechi’s supporters say the development reflects growing political alignment around his ambition, with his campaign expected to emphasize governance experience, national unity, security, and economic reform as key pillars of his agenda.
