Armed bandits have reportedly abducted eight persons in Dan-Honu II community in New Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attack which occurred Tuesday on night, November 28, 2023 saw the abduction a new couple who just got wedded last Saturday, the Imam of Dan-Honu II Mosque, his wife and three children, including a 10-month-old baby.

The armed bandits who invaded the community at about 8:50 p.m totaling about 10, with sophisticated weapons such as AK47 rifles and other dangerous arms, were said to have been imbued in black, with one of them in a mask.

According to a community member, Mohammed, who escaped the abduction by the terrorists, told Daily Trust that the bandits began by picking the Imam and his family whom they met outside the community’s Juma’at Mosque before heading to a house where the new couple were also whisked away.

“They started banging on his door and shouting ‘Dan Iska ba za ka fito ba?’, meaning ‘idiot, will you not come out? That was when I realized that they were kidnappers. So, when they could not force the door open, they broke his window and the burglary proof,” Mohammed added.
