Zulum distributes N255 million and food to CJTF and hunters combating Boko Haram

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, recently distributed a significant amount of money and bags of rice to members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and hunters who are assisting in the fight against Boko Haram insurgents in the state. This distribution took place at the Government House in Maiduguri.

The governor distributed a total of N255,650,000 in cash and 5,513 bags of 50kg rice to the CJTF members and hunters.

These individuals are actively engaged in efforts to maintain peace and security in Maiduguri and Jere.

During the distribution, Governor Zulum expressed his gratitude to the volunteers for their dedication and sacrifices in supporting the military and other security forces in restoring peace to the state. He assured them that their welfare is a top priority for his administration.

“I want to appreciate your efforts in complementing the military and other security forces to restore peace in the state. I assure you that your welfare is a top priority for me,” Zulum said.

The event was attended by key government officials including the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Bukar Tijjani, the Head of Service, Barrister Mallam Fannami, and the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Prof. Usman Tar.
