Late former President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf Buhari, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Yusuf secured a landslide victory in the APC House of Representatives primary election held on Saturday, polling 5,849 votes to defeat his rival, Auwal Lawal Daura, who garnered 21 votes.
With the outcome, Yusuf Buhari clinched the party’s ticket to contest for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.
The APC House of Representatives primary elections are currently taking place across the country as the ruling party begins preparations for the next electoral cycle.
