Yul Edochie Denies Marriage to Judy Austin in Court, Labels it ‘Skitmaking’

In the latest twist to the ongoing divorce saga involving renowned Nollywood actor Yul Edochie and his ex-wife May Edochie, Yul explicitly refuted claims of being married to actress Judy Austin.

This revelation comes amidst accusations of adultery leveled against him by May Edochie, who filed for divorce.

Yul Edochie, well-known for his controversial roles on and off-screen, made his stance clear in court, asserting that his relationship with Judy Austin was solely centered around skit-making endeavors and lacked any legal recognition as a union.

May Edochie’s legal counsel, Emeka Ugwuonye, said this was a defense strategy adopted by Yul and Judy, who have insisted that their social media content, including videos and posts, were merely part of their skit-making activities.

The legal battle, which was slated for a hearing at the FCT High Court in Abuja on March 5, faced an unexpected setback as the court session did not proceed, a circumstance Yul and Judy claimed credit for, according to reports. May’s initial petition highlighted an alleged traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra State, a claim vehemently denied by both parties.

Following the revelation veteran Nollywood actress and Yul’s Aunt Rita Edochie, took to Instagram to mock Judy Austin questioning whether she became a “skit maker by marriage.”

Her remarks have intensified the media spotlight on the matter.
