Yomi Fabiyi’s Life in Danger -Actor Exposes Assassination Plot Amidst Mohbad Protests

In a shocking turn of events, popular Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has fled Nigeria, claiming he narrowly escaped an assassination attempt.

His sudden departure comes just days before he was scheduled to lead a protest at the Lagos State Assembly on September 30, coinciding with the resumption of the coroner’s inquiry into the death of late singer Mohbad.

Fabiyi had planned to rally supporters to demand justice for Mohbad, whose untimely death has sparked widespread outrage. However, the actor did not attend the coroner’s court or lead the protest, citing grave threats to his life. In a controversial video shared on his Instagram, he revealed the frightening details of the situation.

“I escaped an assassination attempt just two days ago, and they still plan to kill me tonight,” Fabiyi said in the video, visibly shaken. “If they had succeeded, I would have been buried by now. All of this because I’m standing up for justice. I didn’t take money from anyone; I’m doing this for God.”

Expressing the urgency of his circumstances, Fabiyi admitted he had to leave Nigeria unexpectedly and is currently unsure of where he will go next. “I had to run for my life,” he added, emphasizing the seriousness of the threats against him.

Fabiyi’s claims have raised eyebrows and ignited discussions about the dangers faced by those speaking out in the pursuit of justice in Nigeria. As he seeks safety, many are left wondering how this situation will unfold and what it means for the fight for justice surrounding Mohbad’s case.
