Super Eagles captain and Norwich City defender Joseph Yobo has said he longs to get back to the team.
Yobo recently returned to England to play for the canaries after four years at Fenerbahce, Turkey.
The Eagles skipper is seeking to get back his place which he lost after the 2013 African Nations Cup.
Eagles’ most capped player said, “It’s been a while since I was involved with Nigeria. I haven’t played for the Super Eagles since we became champions of Africa”.
“I have spoken to Stephen Keshi and I think we are on equal basis now so I just have to perform well for Norwich City now and get my place back in the team”, he added.
Yobo also talked about how he felt captaining the Super Eagles, he said, “I have been in the national team for so long. Captaining the national team gives me a special feeling and going to the World Cup for me will be an addition.”
