Yobe launches campaign for Zone A Senatorial bye-election

The August 27 Stadium in Damaturu was completely full as supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered for the kickoff ceremony of the campaign for the Yobe East Senatorial bye-election.

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, who was the main host, felt impressed by the overwhelming turnout and expressed confidence in the APC’s victory in the upcoming bye-election.

Governor Buni highlighted the significance of the rally in the state, emphasizing that the presence of party leaders underscored its importance.

He reminded voters about the benefits of having a representative from the ruling party in the national assembly.

The National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, noted that elections in Yobe are straightforward due to the dominance of one political party.

He assured everyone of the National Working Committee’s commitment to providing necessary support for the party’s success in the upcoming Yobe East Senatorial bye-election.

“I assure you of the readiness of the National Working Committee to provide all the necessary support to ensure victory of the party in the forthcoming Yobe East Senatorial bye election,” he said.

Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, the APC Chairman in Yobe state, in his remarks, described the APC Senatorial candidate, Hon. Musa Mustapha, as a unifying candidate for the upcoming 2023 Zone A Senatorial bye-election.

Additionally, Gadaka welcomed defections from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) into the ruling party in the state.
