Yahaya Bello Emerges Consensus Candidate for Kogi Central Senate Race

Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections, signaling his entry into the Kogi Central senatorial contest.
Bello, who reportedly received the form on Saturday, has also emerged as the consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the seat.
He is set to challenge the incumbent senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party, in what is expected to be a closely watched race.
Bello previously served two terms as governor of Kogi State before handing over to his successor, Usman Ododo.
