Yahaya Bello Denounces Online Allegations, Reaffirms Loyalty to President Tinubu

Former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Bello, has issued a strong rebuttal to online allegations made by a social media user identified as Joy Sadiq, who operates under the handles @realmamakogi and @realmamakogi2 on Facebook and TikTok.
In a press statement dated November 16, 2025 obtained by The News Chronicle, Bello described Sadiq’s claims regarding his relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as “inaccurate, misleading, and not reflective of any reality known to me.” He stressed that he has no association with her, aside from the possibility of her mingling within APC supporters in Kogi State.
The former governor condemned Sadiq’s activities, noting that she had also attacked other prominent Nigerians with whom he maintains cordial relationships. He emphasized that her statements do not represent him and are made entirely on her own accord.
Bello reaffirmed his strong relationship with President Tinubu, describing it as one built on “respect, understanding and shared commitment to our collective political goals.”
He also reiterated his unwavering support for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid and rejected attempts to mischaracterize their relationship.
He urged the public and media to disregard Sadiq’s remarks, which he described as “uninformed and unconnected to me,” and motivated by malice.
Bello added that only communications issued through his official channels should be considered authentic.
The statement was signed by Yahaya Bello from Abuja.
