X Partners with Visa for Upcoming Wallet Feature

—

Social media platform X, owned by Elon Musk, has partnered with Visa for its upcoming X Money wallet. The collaboration will use Visa Direct to enable instant money transfers.
X Money will allow users to fund their wallets, connect to a debit card for payments, and transfer money to bank accounts. CEO Linda Yaccarino announced this as the first step in X Money’s rollout, scheduled for later this year.
Since Musk took over X, he has aimed to integrate financial services into the platform, including tipping creators and earning returns on wallet balances. The company has acquired money transmitter licenses in over 40 U.S. states to support this goal.
Developers have identified traces of X Money features in the app, but the service may not be available in all states initially.
The launch details remain under development.
