Workers Dismissed at Dangote Refinery 24 Hours After Joining PENGASSAN

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has terminated the employment of all its Nigerian staff, less than 24 hours after most of them joined PENGASSAN.

In a memo signed by its HR chief, the company cited “total re-organisation” and sabotage concerns as reasons.

Affected workers were asked to return company property, while the finance department was directed to process their entitlements.

The move follows an ongoing dispute with PENGASSAN over unionization.
