A woman has reportedly demanded justice after allegedly taking a N30 million loan and donating one of her kidneys to a man she believed was unmarried and who had promised to marry her.
According to reports obtained by The News Chronicle on Tuesday, the relationship between the woman and the man lasted about six months before he reportedly developed kidney disease and struggled to afford treatment.
The man allegedly told the woman that he was single and promised to marry her if she helped him recover. Acting on the promise, she reportedly secured a N30 million loan from her workplace, using her father’s house as collateral.
The man was subsequently flown abroad for medical treatment, where tests reportedly showed that the woman was a suitable kidney donor. She then allegedly donated one of her kidneys to him in a transplant that was said to have been successful.
After the procedure, the woman reportedly returned home and resumed her normal life. However, she was allegedly devastated when she later encountered the man with another woman and three children.

The encounter reportedly led her to discover that the man was already married, contrary to what he had allegedly told her.
The woman is now reportedly demanding that the man either marry her or repay the N30 million loan and somehow return the kidney she donated.
Following her threat of legal action, the man reportedly said his lawyers were prepared to defend him in court.
It remains unclear whether formal legal proceedings have been filed or what the woman’s current medical and financial condition is.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and the identities of the individuals involved have not been disclosed.
