Wizkid Reignites Feud with Davido After New Song Announcement, Fans React

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has reignited a long-standing rivalry with fellow singer Davido, stirring tension among fans after Davido announced a new single.

The drama began when Davido shared with fans on Nigeria’s Independence Day that he has a new track coming soon. While many were excited, things took a turn when Wizkid jumped onto X (formerly Twitter), throwing shade at Davido’s upcoming release, saying, “Pussy boys dropping mids again!”

The situation escalated when Tycoone, a close friend of Davido, responded on the same platform, seemingly taunting Wizkid by daring him to release his much-delayed album. Tycoone tweeted, “Tell your daddy to drop na ,” a jab at Wizkid’s project that fans have been waiting on.

Wizkid didn’t hold back. He fired back with multiple posts, dismissing any serious beef but taking the opportunity to label Davido as “wack” and “untalented.” In one of his tweets, Wizkid mocked Davido’s talent, saying, “I don’t beef wack niggas. We all know he’s wack, no talent. 80 trash, we got 80 songs for any album you all drop. Una don tire? Make una go rest.”

Wizkid’s fiery comments have sparked a frenzy online, with fans divided. Some are thrilled to see the feud between the two music giants reignited, while others are calling for peace, urging the stars to focus on their music rather than drama.

The question now is: will this rivalry fuel more hits, or will it lead to a lasting truce between two of Afrobeats’ biggest stars?
