Why There are Fuel Supply Disruptions in Lagos and FCT -NNPC 

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd has stated that the recent fuel supply and distribution challenges experienced in parts of Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

According to the company, the disruptions are attributed to technical issues encountered during the discharge operations of two vessels.

The NNPC Ltd assured that it is working tirelessly with all relevant stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normal fuel supply operations as soon as possible.

Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, confirmed that the company is taking all necessary measures to address the issue. “We understand the inconvenience this has caused and are committed to resolving the situation promptly,” Soneye stated.

The NNPC Ltd has not provided a specific timeline for when the issue is expected to be resolved but has assured the public that it is working around the clock to restore normalcy.
