OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR
Your Excellency,
There are moments when power looks invincible—until the wind shifts. The same crowd that once shouted “Jagaban!” can, in a heartbeat, whisper “Enough.” That is the dangerous rhythm of leadership in a weary nation.
Nigeria is bleeding quietly, sir. Not from one wound but from a thousand cuts—each one inflicted by hunger, corruption, insecurity, and silence. In some villages, the sound of gunfire has become the morning bell. In our cities, the young now speak of escape as though exile were destiny. This is not the country we inherited; it is the one we allowed to rot while pretending all was well.
I do not write as an opponent but as a citizen who refuses to surrender hope. You fought your way to the presidency; now fight for the nation that made it possible. History will not remember the titles you held—it will remember the fires you quenched and the lives you saved.
The world is watching, and perception is becoming our new enemy. We need diplomacy that restores respect, not suspicion. Send patriots, not party loyalists, to represent us abroad. Choose men and women who can speak Nigeria’s truth in rooms where power listens.
Your Excellency, every leader reaches a crossroad: to be feared for his might or remembered for his mercy. The courage that carried you this far must now serve a higher purpose—to stop the killings, heal divisions, and give Nigerians a reason to believe again.
