The Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation has disowned online documents relating to the proposed 100,000-hectare Multi-Crop Project, describing them as unauthorized and misleading.
The ministry made this known in a public disclaimer issued by the Office of the Permanent Secretary and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.

It said the documents, attributed to CARECOM COMFAS and the RBDA National Agricultural Intervention Program, did not originate from the ministry.
The documents include a contractor registration form for input suppliers, an infographic on implementation and field operations, and a map showing the alignment of river basin development authorities with the multi-crop project.
The ministry urged members of the public, stakeholders and partners to disregard the documents and refrain from relying on them for official purposes.
It emphasized that information about its activities and programs was disseminated only through established communication channels and duly signed documents.
