Voting is Not Gas Bagging, Voting is Witness + Tangible Work

—

My dear citizens, Nigerians! Good morning.

This weekend we will not do GAS BAGGING. Australians use that word for people who talk talk talk but do nothing. We will do WITNESS.

Because 2027 is here. 4 months away — January 16/17, 2027 — General Elections.

Prof Adekunle Oloyede wrote me this morning. For obvious reasons he had not responded before. He clarified — He is not tired of pursuing something tangible for Nigeria. He is only campaigning for another approach.

His words: _Nigerians must act within (reality) and outside (idealism) the box if we are to achieve our ambition. Our people have not developed to the point that we can just apply foreign perceived standards to our affairs. It is what I call laziness! We Nigerians must first see what we have evolved into, critically appraise it, then design to drive it — our way and in the way our over 200 million, substantially undereducated population, can relate to. There has to be strategy, tactics, process and methodology that really address our situation. We cannot just cut, paste and wish our way to development._

That is engineering mindset. That is WITNESS.

Prof says: _I am dedicating the rest of my life to getting tangible things done. As an Engineer, I have been trained in art of analysis and design and this is what I am doing now. I am currently working on a livestock management system and have put together a team. The solution would be fully Nigerian. Design just made final to NEXTGEN challenge in UK. Ministry of Livestock is evaluating conceptual design and prototype. If substantial number of our people can take one problem and solve it, not dependent on govt for magic, we would create different society!

Sir, that is our message! Government SERVANT not SAVIOUR. MAGIC IS NOT REAL. Take one problem and solve it.

So voting also must be tangible, not cut and paste foreign standard. Our way, reality.

I bring useful quotes on voting:

_”One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”_ — Plato

_”The wise who refuse to rule should prepare to suffer the rule of idiots.”_ — Socrates

_”A vote is a kind of prayer about the kind of world you want to live in.”_ — Warnock

_”Not voting is not a protest. It is a surrender.”_ — Ellison

_”The ballot is stronger than the bullet.”_ — Lincoln

OUR WITNESS 5Cs FOR JAN 16/17 — TANGIBLE WAY —

1. CITIZEN WITNESS* — Not cut and paste. Appraise reality — 200 million, substantially undereducated — Design process they can relate to. Register, revalidate, encourage.

2. CAPTURE* — Tangible facts — One PU at a time.

3. CATALOGUE* — Verifiable — Not rumour.

4. CLOUD* — Upload — So no magic erases.

5. CONFRONT* — Court and conscience — With analysis and design, like Engineer.

Prof is building livestock system, fully Nigerian, to solve farmer-herder-bandit problem. Not complaining, not GAS BAGGING. If we all take one problem — voting problem, PU problem — and solve it tangible, we create different society!

So please — Come out en masse Jan 16/17 2027. Vote our way, reality way.

For 2040 TEST — Did we cut, paste and wish? Or did we analyse, design, and build?

Ki Olorun Tun Ilu Wa Se — Allah Ya Gyara Kasar Mu — Chineke Mezie Obodo Anyi_
