Victor Boniface wins 5th successive Rookie of the Month Award

Nigeria and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has claimed yet another Rookie of the Month Award for December.

The 22-year-old beat his close rivals to win the coveted award for the fifth time this season—becoming the only player to scoop the award this season from August up until December.

Boniface, who scored during Leverkusen’s last league game, has now scored 9 goals and 7 assists in the league. His 16 goal contributions have aided Bayern in maintaining a 4-point lead ahead of defending champion Bayern Munich on the log.

Victor has been tipped to defend the African Player of the Year Award for Nigeria following his compatriot’s win in the last edition.

His 23 goals contribution in all competitions this season means only Harry Kane (34) and Erling (24) have had more than the startling Nigerian.
