The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has provided relief assistance to residents affected by attacks by non-state armed groups in Ngoshe community, located in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
The intervention, carried out through NEMA’s Maiduguri Operations Office in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, included the distribution of food supplies and building materials aimed at supporting families grappling with the aftermath of the attacks.
Community leaders, represented at the event, praised NEMA for its swift and consistent response, noting that the agency had intervened in the area multiple times this year. They described the continued support as a clear demonstration of NEMA’s humanitarian commitment.
The Head of the Maiduguri Operations Office expressed sympathy to the affected residents and urged them to remain strong despite the challenges posed by the attacks.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Gwoza Local Government Area, on behalf of the beneficiaries, commended NEMA and the Federal Government for the timely assistance, emphasizing the importance of sustained support to help communities recover.
